1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Submission content. The story, confession, or message you submit, along with the category you select, whether you want advice or a reaction, and any optional display name you provide.
• Optional contact details. If you choose to include your name and/or email when submitting, we store that alongside your submission so we can follow up if needed.
• Payment confirmation details (Zelle). Because we only accept payment via Zelle, verifying your payment requires us to collect your full name, email, phone number (optional), the amount paid, a confirmation reference, and a screenshot of your Zelle transaction. This information is used solely to confirm and reconcile payment — it is not used for marketing.
• Usage and analytics data. Like most websites, we automatically collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, typically through standard analytics tools, to help us understand how the Site is used and to keep it secure.
• Contact form messages. If you reach out via our Contact page, we collect your name, email, subject, and message content.

2. How Anonymous Submissions Are Handled

We take anonymity seriously. If you submit a story and mark it as anonymous (or simply don't include identifying details), our host and editorial team will still see the full content of your submission internally — this is necessary to review, prepare, and read your story on the show. However, listeners and the public never see your identifying information unless you explicitly opt in to being named. Anything read on air or published to our social channels is anonymized or uses only the display name you chose, unless you've given us clear permission to do otherwise.

3. How We Store Your Data

All submission content, payment confirmation details, and contact messages are stored in our database, hosted on Supabase (a managed Postgres database provider). Access to this data is restricted to our admin team through authenticated, service-level access — it is not publicly readable. We use industry-standard security practices, including row-level security policies, to limit who can read or write data on our systems.

4. Data Retention

We retain submission content, payment confirmation records, and contact messages for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the show, maintain financial records, and respond to inquiries. If you request deletion of your data (see Section 7 below), we will remove or anonymize it from our active systems unless we are required to retain certain records (such as payment confirmations) for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. Information you provide is used only to operate ThirdxOpinion — to process submissions, verify payments, respond to your messages, and improve the Site. We may share limited data with service providers (such as our database or hosting provider) strictly to the extent necessary to operate the Site, and those providers are bound to protect your information.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies, along with third-party analytics tools, to understand how visitors use the Site and to keep it functioning properly. These tools may collect information such as pages visited, time spent on the Site, and general device/browser information. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the Site may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

7. Your Rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time by reaching out through our Contact page. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe. Note that deleting certain data (like a submission already read on air) may not be possible if it has already been published, but we will always remove identifying information where we can.

8. Children's Privacy

ThirdxOpinionis not intended for, and is not directed at, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Submitting a story or making a payment requires confirming you are 18 or older. If we become aware that we've collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.

9. Submission Consent

By submitting a story or message through our submission form, you confirm you are 18 or older and consent to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our practices evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
